Reviews: Mustang Gift Set

Published 13 November 2013, 16:34

Just in time for Christmas, the good people at Florida-based Stallion 51, who offer warbird flights in North American P-51D Mustangs, have released a special international gift set.

It comprises the colourful book Legends In The Air and the DVD The Gathering of Mustangs & Legends - The Final Roundup. Legends In The Air features profiles of 51 men who flew and serviced the Mustang in World War Two. All of the interviewees attended the 2007 Gathering of Mustangs and Legends event in Columbus, Ohio.

The 105-page book contains biographies and photos, both new and from the archive. The 90-minute DVD documents this amazing airshow, which brought together numerous surviving US-based Mustangs. The camera takes us behind the scenes, and also features air-to-air footage, interviews with veterans, pilots and owners, and aerobatic displays. The gift set can be bought for $30 (about £19), including international shipping.
