Agreement for strike missile concept phase

The UK and France have agreed to launch a joint concept phase of the Future Cruise/Anti-Ship Weapon (FC/ASW) programme with MBDA.

Running for up to three years, this will inform the UK and France’s decision-making and requirements for a potential future assessment and demonstration of next-generation cruise and anti-ship missiles launched by air systems.

Operational capability is planned to be achieved by the end of the next decade. Work on the FC/ASW concept phase will be split 50/50 between the UK and France.
